Hi,
I'm resetting Thunderbird on Mac PowerBook G4 Tiger. Eudora is on Win PCs. I've not read all of the pages found by google re Thunderbird, but haven't gotten a lead on two issues:

1. My primary ISP (above) gives me several other mail boxes with different incoming pop servers. I also have ISP in Thailand. Thai address, (loxinfo.co.th), useful to establish presence in Thailand and have as alternate SMTP server. Thai address and one of addresses from Cruzio set to auto forward to address above on Cruzio. One other Cruzio-given domain set to not forward and I check it from accounts on Eudora. On Eudora all accounts feed into single "In Box" and I transfer from there.

2. With Thunderbird, have choice of 'global settings' or individual accounts. Both choices require moving mail through one or more places before getting to designated folder. For several reasons, setting on auto not practical. What are pros and cons of global vs separate.

I will continue to search, but would appreciate your comments on how to have separate accounts, but only global in box.

Thanks,

Bernie

3. Then add gmail and need multiple SMTP servers (I think).

As you can see from the above installation, a password is never asked for nor required. However, as soon as I set up my new mailbox, it asked ME for a password to open it. Leaving it blank won't open it. Putting in all the usual passwords don't work. WHAT GIVES?? and how do you change/reset a password for the account?

This should not be so difficult!

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Frank.
